Our small in-home roaster started as a hobby in the spring of 2018. We've been excited to be able to continue expanding and to share our taste for high quality, freshly roasted beans sent straight from our home to your doorstep. Our name, 'Kahawa', rooted in the Swahili word for coffee, reflects our deep admiration for the rich coffee cultures that span continents, from the misty highlands of Tanzania to the lush valleys of Colombia. Our mission is to bridge the gap between coffee farmers and coffee lovers, ensuring that every cup tells a story of its origin, cultivating an appreciation for the people and process behind the brew. Behind our variety of beans lies a deep love for cross cultures and diverse people groups across the world. We use a small batch roaster, and air roast our coffee multiple times a week to ensure ultimate quality and freshness. Small batch roasting allows us to have a higher degree of control in the outcome of each batch. We’ve enjoyed learning the importance of premium quality, well-roasted coffee, and strive to please all of our customers with the same results!
